We Remember

We are just days away from that fateful day in our American and World History - Sept. 11. What do we say to our children when they ask? Albeit  difficult knowledge, we  must find ways to engage our young children in the discourse. Our children depend on us as parents, educators and leaders to guide them through the murky waters of social justice issues , war, death, poverty etc. As we dialogue with them in honest, developmentally appropriate ways, we are providing a scaffold for their own introspection and  interpretations.
Teacher Tip:  We can take it even a step further and help our students to dig a little deeper to find ways to make a difference in their world. For lesson plan ideas for students in K- 11 Click Here

It's important that we guide children through difficult conversations about history.
