One day a man walks into the rain forest, he sees the kapok tree and starts to cut into the trunk with his ax. Soon he gets tired and falls asleep, the animals that live there whisper into his ear all the reasons not to cut down the tree. When the man woke up , he seemed as if he was still going to chop the tree down, but he stopped in mid-swing and turned out of the rain forest. This book helps us to see how much trees really do for us in this world; no trees means no oxygen and without oxygen there's no life.

This is a brief summary of the book: The Great Kapok Tree
The story is about a man who goes into a rain forest (Amazon) to chop down a tree. He chopped a chuck of the tree down and he fell asleep. While he was asleep, animals who lived in the tree whispered in his ear reasons why to not cut down the tree. The book will give us reasons how much trees really do for us, and our environment. This book is an extremely good reason for the three R's. I would recommend for you to read it.

A breif summary of the book The Great Kapok Tree.
2 men go in the rainforest. The taller man leaves, but the shorter one stays and starts chopping The Great Kapok Tree.
While chopping the man gets tired and decides to take a nap.
While the man is sleeping animals that depend on The Great Kapok Tree come out and whisper in his ear how he will be hurting all the animals. The man wakes up and is about to start chopping the tree down, but before he takes another chop he stops and looks around at the animals around him, and leaves the forest.
This book shows how important trees are to many animals.

The book is about a man who goes into a rain forest with his co-worker to chop down a tree. After a long time of working, the man sits down for a rest and falls asleep. While he is sleeping, different animals come and tell him it is not safe to cut down the tree and that it would hurt the habitat and the environment. When he wakes up, he realizes that it is wrong and walks out of the forest
