The JBC January Book of the Month is Framed
by Frank Cottrell Boyce

"Dylan Hughes always looks on the bright side of things. Sure, his hometown of Manod, Wales, is the rainiest spot in Britain, but it also has the lowest crime rate. Yes, the mountain at the edge of town is the site of a defunct slate quarry, which means the whole mountain, and much of the town, is covered in the uniformly gray color of slate. But, as Dylan says, "All the other mountains around here have grass on the top. Ours is covered in broken slate. Basically they turned the mountain inside out. I mean, how many towns have got an inside-out mountain at the end of the High Street?"

This book is a funny and insperational story.I would suggest that you read this book.in a short summarization it is about a boy named dylan is confused for being someone who likes art but instead of the town getting worst the town turn it's frown upside down. This book will show you the art around you and paintings do have power.

I don't get how if they're are a crowd of girls, how can they're be a lot of girls and one boy in the entire town!

Terrible is terrible in the beginning.I mean she gave Dylan a fear of being poked in the eye.

It is good and I like how the paintings change their thinking and, when the mom closed the shop down, how the kids got money just by stealing a painting and replacing it with a fake one and "sold" it to get a lot of money. I can't believe that Dylan was the only boy in his town for a while! And I can't belive that Minnie is smarter than Dylan and how Terrible is SO terrible till she saw that painting

I loved the way they described the paintings.
The humor in the book was awesome as long with the suspense when the alrms went off while they were stealing the painting.
