A Lion Called Christian by Anthony Bourke and John Rendall

When Christian gets too big, it is impossible to keep him confined in an apartment and so the men do the right thing and send him back to the jungle so he could be free to live in his natural environment.
Christian survives the long Journey from England into the expert hands of George Adamson in Kenya, East Africa. George Adamson was called the 'father of the lions because he had a special gift of helping orphaned animals assimilate into the wild. He did an excellent job of teaching Christian how to survive in his natural habitat. However the amazing thing was that when Anthony and John went back to visit Christian in the wild they discovered that the strong bonds of friendship had never been broken ( the picture of them here tells the whole beautiful story.)
