A Lion Called Christian by Anthony Bourke and  John Rendall

Picture
This month's JBC novel will draw you right in and may even draw tears from your eyes. Christian the Lion is a heart stirring account of a young lion cub who spent his early life with  two young men Anthony and John.  The adventurous trio spend several months together in a London apartment where they develop an amazing bond of love and friendship.
When Christian gets too big, it is impossible to keep him confined in an apartment and so the men do the right thing and send him back to the jungle so he could be free to live in his natural environment.
Christian survives the long Journey from England into the expert hands of George Adamson in Kenya, East Africa. George Adamson was called the 'father of the lions because he had a special gift of helping orphaned animals assimilate into the wild. He did an excellent job of teaching Christian how to survive in his natural habitat. However the amazing thing was that when Anthony and John went back to visit Christian in the wild they discovered that the strong bonds of friendship had never been broken ( the picture of them here tells the whole beautiful story.)

(CONT.) When cristian was stuck in his tiny cage and John and ace found him it was very heartwarming. When cristian was with Boy and Katana it was very weird that boy was getting mad because of Cristian being friends with Cristian

The book was so inspirational and touching. This will inspire readers everywhere, with the amazing choice of words, and the marvelous story. I would recommend this to anyone who asks for a good book. "A lion called Christian" is truly a marvelous book, and I would hope that anyone who reads this is moved and heartwarmed. This a story of love, friendship, and compassion. While it may be a bit sad at the end, this book will captivate all readers. Christian is extremely cute as well :).

I think that the book Christian the lion is heart warming story about a lion and two friends that share a special bound. The two friends see a lion in store and decide to buy it because they think the cub deserves better than a tight spaced cage. They raise the cub as their own child and when the cub got too big. They let him go in Kenya and after awhile they visit him and Christian (the lion) still remember the people who raised him.

It was a really a heart warming bok of 2 friends who stumble across a lion at harriots. As soon as they realized that they coud NOT keep Christian in a basment so they take him to africa an then he met boy his worst companion soon became a friend, and when john and ace came bak it was really nice for him to remember the ones who cared for him.
