The Breadwinner Trilogy will take you on a journey to Afghanistan and Pakistan. BUT, be prepared for a bumpy ride. This will be no ordinary
journey. Your mind will be pushed past speed limits that catapult you into a world of turmoil, war, uncertainty and instability.  Throughout this difficult ride across minefields, graveyards, refugee camps and dangerous bazaars, the reader interacts with the protagonists Parvana and Shauvia as they wrestle with the difficult knowledge of what life has become for them.
The Breadwinner will open your eyes to what it means to find the dare to hope for a brighter future for all the girls and boys across the globe. It will strenghten your resolve to do what you can to help someone to transform their fields of ruin and despair into fields of peace, dignity and beauty ...as beautiful as Shauvia's Lavender Field of dreams.

The book was amazing. Can’t tell you how I really enjoyed it. Can't tell you the summary of the first book because finished all 3 books and I don’t want to spoil it. My thanksgiving was great, went to Atlanta.

I really enjoyed this book. It had many dramatic points and a whole lot of sadness. Usually, I despise books like these but I can make an exception for this book because if there's one thing that rules out all of those horrible things, it's the hope. The author does a very good job in describing all of the mixed emotions that Parvana experiences thoughout the story. I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but another thing that helps add the realism to the story is the neandrathal-like english that the author uses as Parvana's voice. That is all.

This book is amazing. It Shows you people are dying in the world. It really encourages you to help. You may have a happy life but they have a very hard life.something I didn't like the part where they jump to a completely different persons life one more thing the most inportant word in this book is Hope.

This story is a mixture of many feelings such as, desperateness, sadness, happiness. My favorite part is when parvana met Hassen. This book shows how in Afganistan can be sometimes unfair and how the outside world can be unfair and mean.

This is a mixture of feelings book. It is a example of life and that you should be prepared at all times. I noticed that every problem is solved even the scary parts wich is really cool! I like how they keep surviving very hard stuff and when something bad is about to happen, or good, there is a surprise right around the corner and they get safe or they get in danger and they always get out of the dangerous stuff!

I believe that this book was a breath of reality to everyone who read this book. One thing I loved about this book is that it wasn't a sense of unrealistic optimism, like most books. Optimism, in a sense, is unrealistic, but a lot of books take unrealistic optimism to a WHOLE new level! This book was pessimistic, but in a way that made me feel good about this book.

The book keeps changeing that i can't keep up to all the story's that happen, like it always gets you sad and expectes you to be glad at a snap! Another thing is that the book's just tell you about a subject then talks about ANOTHER subject, but, it is an incredibal book!
