War of the Eagles  by Eric Walters.
This month's novel takes us on a Journey to British Columbia. It is 1941 in the midst of World War II where we meet 14-year-old Jed. Jed is a proud Canadian, the son of a British fighter pilot and a Native Canadian woman of theTsimshian tribe. Jed's pride in his Canadian Heritage gets a wake up call  however, when his best friend Tadashi, a Japanese Canadian, is  interned in a concentration camp, along with other members of the nearby Japanese village. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Japanese are declared enemy aliens and told to prepare to leave their  homes, Jed must ask himself where his allegiance belongs. Will he pledge allegiance to his friend or his country? Will he find the answer in his heart and soul...

This book shows how things were in the 1940's, in a beautifully mastered way(period doesn't work on this keyboard, so bear with me) Conentration camps were also used during Hitler's reign, another heartbraking time in history also around the 1940's This is truly a heartwearming story

It is really awesome, it is filled with action and a lot fun. You might think it is going to be fine and Tadashi is going to stay but it is sad but it is also happy because Jed still cares and believes Tadashiis coming back and protects his home and other peoples homes and is awesome because they send each other letters but I wish that Jed's dad didn't come back. I would recommend this book because it has a lot of action and is mainly about two people/friends.

This book is amazing! It is about two friends who are canadian well tadashi is actually part japenese and right now the japenese were suppose to be the enemy but he is aloud mostly cause he is born from canada. His friend is taking care of a eagle and it might be his grandpa but it wing is broken but it was fixed and one carefully aimed shot and the eagle will be startled into flight.

I would recommend this book to people who like setting eagles free, Canadian things and wise old Grandmas. The story is about Jed who lives in Canada during the World War 2. He's friend Tadashi is a naturalized Canadian but his ancestors came from Japan. But the war camp there in Canada, takes Tadiashi because he's Japanise. They find a way to keep their friendship alive.
